Let the Playoffs Begin!
The Weber Electric Pee Wees completed league action in 8th place out of a 21 team league.  They were 4th in the North West division of the Central South division.

The top 5 teams of the North East division will play a home and away series to determine a winner as will the South West division who will then play off for the Maroon Flight Title.

Weber's began their home and away series February 10th and 11th against undefeated, Central South Division leader Mildmay.  The Monarchs defeated the visiting Capitals on Friday night 5-2 but Walkerton provided great competition.  The game was scoreless after the 1st period and Mildmay took a 3-1 lead into the third period.  Walkerton scored early in the third period to narrow Mildmay's lead to one, but the Monarch's would add another goal at the 6 minute mark and another with one minute remaining for the 5-2 victory.  Scott Eddyvean scored in the second period assisted by Drew Cobean and Joel Hillyer.  Connor Johnson tallied in the third period off the opening faceoff, assisted by Cobean and Eddyvean.

Walkerton hosted game two Saturday morning and gave Mildmay another run for their money.  Weber's managed to keep the Monarchs off the scoreboard until late in the first period when they scored twice.  Mildmay scored again in the second period to take a 3-0 lead into the flood.  At the thirteen minute mark of the third period Drew Cobean earned a penalty shot when the Mildmay player threw his stick on Cobean's breakaway.  Cobean would beat the Mildmay goalie and light up the home team scoreboard.  Cobean received a pass from defenceman Thomas Crummer a minute later for his second goal of the game.  Mildmay added two of their own in the third period, and Cobean's third goal of the game for a hat trick wasn't enough against the very strong Mildmay Monarch's.

Walkerton will continue playoff action against second place Hanover Falcons on Tuesday February 28th in Hanover.
