Pee Wee Rep Girls travel to Sarnia Silverstick
The Pee Wee Girls travelled to Sarnia for Silverstick and played hard against some tough competition.

It was an early morning on Friday as they played their first game at 9am against St Clair Shores. The girls were strong, pulling ahead in the first period with a goal from Thompson, assisted by Walsh. They were able to keep the pressure on throughout the game, and although St Clair Shores was able to get one past Priestap in net, the girls sealed the win with a second goal by McKague, assisted by Holyome. The final score 2-1

The second game was Friday afternoon against Brampton. The girls got off to a rough start in the first period and just couldn't find the luck on their side.  In this very physical game, they ended with a loss with a final score 6-0.

The third game was against Stratford.  Walkerton played a hard game.  They dominated the play throughout the game with many scrambles in front of Stratfords net.  Konecny was able to get one through in the first period, with the assist by VanLoon.  The girls played a very aggressive game but were not able to pull off the win.  Stratford went ahead to win 3-1 despite Walkerton's many attempts.  A very exciting game that they should be proud of.

The Pee Wee Rep girls have a busy month ahead. They start a round robin series with Kincardine, Durham, and Normanby for the OWHA Provincials, as well as a series with Milverton for the Lower Lakes Play Downs.  Their next games for both these series are Tuesday, February 7 in Walkerton at 8pm against Milverton, and Wednesday February 8th in Ayton at 6pm against Normanby.

Go get them girls!
