RKS Bantam Girls Tame Mount Forest

The RKS Bantam Girls put forth three periods of solid hockey and defeated the Mount Forest Rams 4-1.
Lilly Starling opened the scoring at the 51 second mark of the first period on an unassisted effort. The girls added three in the second to take a 4-0 lead. Allie Smillie was in perfect position in the slot to hammer home a pass from Emily Cormack. AP player Courtney Borgford scored the third goal assisted by Starling. Cormack scored an unassisted goal to give the girls their fourth goal. While Mt. Forest responded with a goal in the last minute of the second period, the girls utilized strong shut down defence in the third to limit their opponents scoring chances.
The Girls will be playing in the Cambridge tournament Friday Jan. 14-Jan. 16.
