The Midget rep girls traveled to Mitchell on Oct21-23 and went 4-0 to win the gold.

Seaforth supplied the opposition for their Friday afternoon tilt and despite taking the game to the Stars, the score was tied a zeros after one period. Seaforth took advantage of a Kinette mistake and opened the scoring early in the second, but Walkerton stormed back three minutes later and tied the game on a goal by Katrina Young. Scoring in the 3rd were, Nixon from Alyssa Becker, Hayley Fischer from Shae Busby and Sarah Durrer and Adams assisted by Lauren McLean. Maddie Elliott earned the win between the pipes.

Their second game pitted the girls against the home town Mitchell Meteors. Yensen made it 2-0 before the 1st ended with Dettman collecting her second assist of the period.Mitchell made a game of it in the second, by scoring twice to tie it up at twos after two periods. This fired up the hard checking Kinette girls and their persistence paid off with 2 more goals in the 3rd to make the final 4-2. Dettman on a fine individual effort and Adams, from Young and Nixon did the scoring. Elliott notched her second win.

Their third game of the tourney was against the Storm from Saugeen Shores with Saugeen Shores having a bit of an advantage in this one as their coach used to coach some of the girls from Walkerton. This just made the girls more determined and again they opened the scoring a minute into the first with Young scoring an unassisted goal. The Storm tied it up late in the first, to make it 1-1 heading into the second.Midway through the second, Young, from Adams, got her second of the game to make it 2-1 and Adams made it 3-1 50 seconds later, assisted by VanLoon and Becker. Durrer from Fischer and Busby ended the scoring and Elliott made the 4-1 score stand up collecting her 3rd win of the tourney.

This put Walkerton into the finals undefeated and again their opposition were the  Saugeen Shores girls. The Storm started their #1 goalie in this one and came out a lot more determined, wanting to even the score with the Walkerton girls. But the Walkerton defense of, Janelle Weber, Jess Schmalz, McLean and Becker held strong and Elliott came up with several huge saves to keep the score tied at zeros after two periods. Four minutes into the third, Adams got Walkerton on the board with Schmalz and Young assisting, and Dettman provided the cushion with a pretty end to end rush to make the score 2-0. Elliott played terrific the rest of the way and Walkerton came home with a 2-0 win in the final.
