Juvies Earn 3 of a Possible 4 Points on weekend!
While the team was hoping for the two game weekend sweep and the chance to put Mooretown into a deep hole

the players knew Mooretown was going to come out with a better effort to avoid just that. It was the Storm that struck first at 5:53 of the first scoring shorthanded on a breakaway after a give away at the offensive zone blueline. The game proceeded with back and forth action and chances at both ends but the goaltending was solid at each end and no further scoring happened leading into the second period flood. At the start of the third the Capitals came out flying and generated multiple chances scoring twice in the first two and a half minutes both off of the stick of Trevor Robinson with helpers going to Andrew Dentinger, Kyle Parks (2) and Nathan O'Hagan. The juvies had continued pressure for most of the third but could not bury another to gain the all important two goal lead. To Mooretown's credit, they started to create some offensive zone forecheck pressure and were rewarded with the equalizer with only 2:33 remaining on the clock to force overtime. In overtime the best scoring chances all belonged to Walkerton but to no avail as they could not find the back of the net and skated off with the 2 - 2 tie and a point a piece. The Capitals now lead the series 3 points to 1 and will head to Mooretown for games 3 and 4 next weekend on Saturday and Sunday. Go Capitals Go!!
