From the drop of the first puck the juvies asserted their skating speed and forecheck pressure but just couldn't find the net.
For the first three minutes all the play was in the Ennismore end until they got their one offensive chance and buried a rebound under the cross bar to opening the scoring. This goal gave the Eagles some life as they continued to assert some pressure. Walkerton did not relent and at the 4:47 mark Andrew Dentinger scored from Kurt Petrik and Eric Elliott to knot the game at one. A couple of shifts later this forward line found the back of the net again with Elliott scoring from Petrik and Dentinger and took a 2 - 1 lead after one. In the second, play continued back and forth with chances at each end. Just when it looked like the Capitals would skate into the flood with the lead, a late penalty cost the guys and Ennismore tied the game at 1:31. In the third, play continued much the same as the second with spurts of pressure going each way but nothing was solved. As the excitement mounted so did the pressure in overtime and the chances continued but again nothing was solved and both teams skated away disappointed with the tie. The series is now tied 3 points a piece with game 4 today in Ennismore at 2 pm. Go Capitals Go!
