A Win For Pee Wee LL Girls!!
Our Pee Wee Girls traveled to Mount Forest, to play some hockey. They were pumped even though they were short handed for the game.
Our Girls laced up and took to the ice in an early afternoon game. The girls came out strong in the first period, despite taking 3 bad penalties, they managed to kill them and Georgina was able to hardball the puck past the goalie from the blue line, on a pass from Lindsay. This was Georginas first goal of the year, and got the girls hungry for more!
Second period the girls were just as ready for a win. Shortly into the period Karissa passed to Tori, who tipped it to Jocelyn, who smacked it right past the goalie. The girls were not done, and continued to pepper the Mount Forest goalie with shot after shot. Half way through the second, Hannah finally beat the Mount Forest goalie, earning herself her first Career Goal!!!! The team went wild!!!!
The third period was hard fought, every girl played her position well, digging in the corners and clearing the puck out from in front of our net. Our Fearless goalie, held tight between the pipes, knocking down everything that came her way, and making some glorious saves, earning herself her first ever Shut Out!!!
It was a day of firsts for the Pee Wee LL girls, and a game well played. A well deserved win.
