The Walkerton Pee Wee girls have qualified for the Ontario Women's Hockey Association Provincial Championships on April 8-10.
The girls first had to face the Kincardine Kinucks. The first game saw the girls come out strong and walk away with a 4-0 victory. Jasmine T. has three goals and Jenna H. scored one. Assists went to Claire W. with two, Jordenne V., Nicole M., Lily S. and Dallas F. with one each.
The second game against Kincardine had the girls skating away with a 4-1 victory. Scoring for the Capitals were Jordenne V. and Lily S. with a goal and an assist each. Lily and Nicole M. scored the other two goals. Michelle B., Krista K., Ashley E. and Erika S. earned assists.
The Capitals then faced a tough Stratford Aces team. In the first game the girls fought to a 1-0 victory. Scoring the only goal of the game was Jasmine T. set up by Ashley E. and Jordenne V. Charlene S. was strong in net earning the shutout.
Game two against Stratford was another hard fought game, with the Capitals earning a 2-1 win. Jordenne V. scored the opening goal, set up by Jasmine T. Jenna H. then found the back of the net, set up by Claire W. before Stratford scored to make it close.
