Strong effort still not quite enough.
The final game championship round robin saw the team off to Mitchell.

The boys and girls started off in defensive mode letting Mitchell bring the play to us.  The strong backchecking of the forwards and aggressive play of the defense, and continued strong goaltending of Ryan Fotheringham kept the score knotted at 0.   the score remained that way till 6:29 of the second when Mitchell finally broke through the defense and potted the only goal of period 2.  That goal fired up the local team and they began to take the play to Mitchell and they were rewarded with the tiebreaker with 10;25 left in the third.  The play was back and forth until 2;27 left in the third when a bad bounce put Mitchell ahead.  Once again with the goalie out the team pressured for the remaining time but couldn't tie the score.  Scoring the goal for the local boys was Zach Saunders assisted by Riley Keip and Chloe Zettler.  The play of defense Jackson Wells, Alyssa Turnbull, Craig Reaman and Zack Saunders was strong as usual.  The forwards Riley Keip, Domm Borho, Curtis Shaidle on the opening line and Byrce Quanbury, Chloe Zettler and Clint Holliday played awesome and gave it there all, and backstopping the team with another excellent effort in net was Ryan Fotheringham.
AWESOME YEAR TEAM, IT WAS A PLEASURE.
