Weekend not without strong points
The team had two games this weekend and both were hard fought battles.

Friday saw the novice team travelling to Kurtzville to play Listowel with sights on the Novice local league championship round but the Listowel team came out flying and 15 seconds into the game it was 1-0 for Listowel.  this goal seemed to take the wind out of the team but a spark was ingnited late in the period with Riley K, scoring with an assist to Clint H, with 4.4 seconds left.  The game remained close till near the end of the second when Listowel scored 3 unanswered goals.  Without the continued strong play of goalie Ryan F. the game could have been put out of hand by Listowel several times in the second. Listowel scored early in the 3rd to take a 6-1 lead at which time coach called a timeout to try and "wake the team".  It looked like it may have worked as the boys scored shortly after the timeout, but to no avail as Listowel was too strong on this day.  The game ending 9-3.  The bright spot for our boys was Riley K's hattrick, with assists to Clint H (2), Alyssa T, Craig R(2).

Saturday saw the team head to Tiverton.  The team seemed to be ready to shake the disheartening loss to Listowel as walkerton scored less than 2 minutes in. Tiverton equaled the score late in the first.  Once again a number of strong saves by both Tiverton's and our own Ryan F. kept the game a close affair. The second saw to goals scored by Walkerton and 3 by Tiverton the last with 35 seconds left.  After 2, Tiverton 4, our team 3.  The 3rd saw end to end action each team scoring a goal early.  Coach thought he'd keep the fans in the game pulling Ryan F. with 6 minutes left the team pressured until an offside stopped the momentum.  The excitement was elevated again with just less than 2 minutes left when again the goalie was pulled to achieve the tie.  The team fought hard and just couldn't get the equalizer.  Final Tiverton 5Walkerton 4.  Scoring for our team, Bryce Q. (2), Curtis S (1) and Zack S (1).  Assists to Jackson W (1) Alyssa T(1)Bryce Q(1), Curtis S(2), Zack S(1) and the ever improving Domonique B(1).  Keep up the great effort boys.
