Last Regular game of The Season
Our last regular game of the season saw the Novice Rep's visit Mildmay in there barn Saturday, and boy it was a GREAT game. Both teams played excellent.
Both teams played a very defensive game not allowing any goals until the third period when our very own Tyson B scored at 12:51 of the third. Tyson was playing forward this game as we were missing a player, assisting on the goal was Brady K and Adam G, but the Monarch's were bond and determined to come back, and so they did scoring just minutes after to tie up the game at 1-1. Walkerton played a very great game holding the puck in Mildmay's end, and it seemed to have worked. Not long after, Brady K seized the opportunity to give the Caps a 2-1 lead and it put a spark in our boys, unfortunately Mildmay scored to tie it up once again. All of the Novices played outstanding passing the puck around, utilizing the open man and pushing forward when needed. Our defense of Jackson P, Colton R, Ben F held there positions helping the forwards to keep the puck in the Monarch's end, Aiden H, Keegan Q, Adam G, Owen C, Tyson B, and Brady K swarmed in the Monarch's end passing the puck using the defense and eventually scoring. Keegan Q received a pass from Colton R to give us a 3-2 lead, but unfortunately Mildmay scored with just 1:42 left in the game and not for trying the Novice's couldn't get the winning goal and the game ended up tied 3-3. The game was a very exciting game to watch. The Novice Rep's will be starting playoffs against Mt Forest in the upcoming day's.
