Prestige passion til the Bitter End
In a mid afternoon game in Shallow Lake, Prestige Atoms show they have true passion for the game of hockey right to the end buzzer.  Although the end result was a loss to Prestige, this group of boys show they have respect and true heart for their team and the game.

Prestige Atoms began this mid afternoon game shy on speed and concentration, but worked through it and came out in the end stronger than ever.  Shallow Lake Lakers certainly started this game, trying to own the ice pad but Walkerton Prestige showed what they were made of.  You can knock them down but never count them out.  The Lakers netted in 3 goals in the first period but Prestige halted and slowed their scoring frenzy.
The second period slowed the pace of the lakers, however they did net in one goal throughout the period.  The defense, lead by Ryan Girdler, stayed strong in the second period and throughout the third.  But the strength of Prestige continued into the third.
The third period was all about Walkerton Prestige.  Forwards Thomas Crummer and Jacob Wieler worked hard and dug for the puck and rushes to the net by Scott Eddyvean and Nick Fairminer were crucial to moving the game into the Lakers end.  The break Prestige worked for started with a great pass from Defensman Denver Turnbull to Tyler Preistap, Tyler found a well positioned Jacob Regier who dropped in our first goal of the game.  But Walkerton wasn't done yet, minutes later Jordan Bester prompted our next rush with a pass to Jordan Lang who tallied up our final goal.
Unfortunately the lakers were able to pull off the 5 to 2 win but Prestige showed that they will be a team to be reckoned with.
