Prestige Atoms Add Another Game to the Win Column
Prestige Atoms came in with lifted spirits after coming off a recent win against Mitchell. In an early afternoon game Prestige met with BCH in Walkerton to try and pull off two wins in a row; and two wins is exactly what they got. Prestige came on strong in the first period, netting our first and only goal of the game.
Prestige Atoms came on strong right from the puck drop. Within seconds of the game beginning centerman Jordan Lang took his shot on net but the BCH goalie stopped it from reaching its destination, but a faulty bounce from the goalie found a well positioned Tyler Priestap who took the shot and netted our first and only goal of the game.
Throughout the entire game, Prestige had many chances on net with shots from Jacob Weiler and Nicholas Fairminer, along with all the other Prestige forwards. Guarding our lines was a well positioned Captain, Ryan Girdler and Connor McTeer. Defense held their lines tight with one player forward and the other in the backyard, both Tanner Stuempfle and Denver Turnbull practiced this method well.
BCH had many occasions to drive to the Walkerton net, and on a few occasions they made their way through our lines only to be met with a warm welcome from our goalie, and with each shot he closed the door on the business end, leaving them wanting the elusive goal.
