The Spark is Back!!!!!
Hurray, the Walkerton McIntee Atom Rep Boys are back in the winner's circle and intend to stay there! Last night's 4-1 victory in Seaforth put an end to a minor setback the team had been suffering and now we predict WIN, WIN, and WIN!!!
WOAA round robin play resumed after a week off with the Capitals travelling to Seaforth to face the C4TH Centenaires. The Centenaires provided great competition, but not strong enough to break Walkerton's force looking for a win.
The first period was scoreless and it wasn't until midway through the second that Drew Cobean picked up the rebound from Curtis Al's "on fire" slapshot to give the good guys a 1-0 lead. Seaforth would reply shortly thereafter but Carter Buehlow found Brayden McKenzie's stick to regain the lead. 2 goals in the third from Dakota Weiler and Hunter Zettler would seal Seaforth's fate and give Walkerton the 4-1 win. Assisting on third period goals were Evan Visser, Buehlow and Cobean.
So it's off to Lambeth on Friday night to show the Lancers what the Walkerton McIntee Atom Rep Boys are made of - "determination" - "skill" - and a "never give up attitude"!!!!
