McIntee Atom Rep Boys Win OMHA Quarter Finals
Walkerton had a decisive 6-1 win over visiting Kincardine to sweep the 5 game series 3-0.  Tonight's win advances the McIntee Atom Rep team to the OMHA semi finals where they will face the Lambeth Lancers.

Head Coach Joe Zettler was presented with the WOAA "B" Championship Trophy for the OMHA playdowns, and the boys skated the victory lap while Captain Brayden McKenzie hoisted the trophy.

The Kinucks provided great competition and kept the game close in the first two periods of play.  Evan Visser scored in the first minute of play, assisted by Noah Leslie and Brayden McKenzie.  Walkerton would settle for the one goal lead until almost half way through the second period when Noah Leslie would score from Carter Buehlow and Sam Lowry Young.  Buehlow scored his first of two to give Walkerton a 3-0 lead but Kincardine replied with a power play goal to make the score interesting.  Buehlow scored his second of the night to give the fans a little breathing space and when Austin Kelly found the net twice in the second half of the third period to secure a 6-1 lead the smell of victory took over the Walkerton Arena.

Dorian Charette, Brayden McKenzie and Noah Leslie each had two assists in tonight's game and Jayce Busby and Hunter Zettler also added singles.

Goaltender Aidan Quish continues to dominate the net and turn away the competition.

Congratulations Caps and good luck in the OMHA semi-finals and in your WOAA Cruickshank Division Round Robin Playdowns.
