Webers' Electric Peewees Tournament Sends Thanks
The Webers' Electric PeeWees want to take this moment to thank all those who were involved in Sundays tournament, because of all the hard work and thankless hours of organization, this tournament was a huge success.
The host team, Webers' Electric worked hard in both their games. We managed a win against Kincardine in the 8 a.m. game but just could not manage another win; Webers' played a hard fought game in the afternoon against the always technically strong New Hamburg team and ultimately was put out. We would like the thank all the teams who were a part of this day, it was a great day of hockey.
And we would also like to congratulate Blythe our Consolation winners and New Hamburg who won the Tournament. Well played!
As part of this fine team, we would like to send a big thanks to all of us who volunteered our time. The lunch was hot....waiting at times but we had a wonderful time. Thanks to all those parents who cooked, passed out lunches, did dishes and cleaned up after the rush was done.
We also want to thank specifically Jeff and Debbie Davidson for organizing yet another successful day. We are very fortunate to have you both as part of the team. Well Done!
This day would not have been as successful as it was if it wasn't for the tireless work of our Local League Convenor, John Louther....Thanks for filling up our tournament with some great teams.
The day was a true success, our team came together as a real team. They played hard together, encouraged each other and took away some great memories and laughs, and at the end of the day thats what makes this a success. Years from now, they won't recall the scores but they sure will remember the laughs and the friendships that molded the day.
