Weber's Electric PeeWees Hand in Second Win of the Year
Monday night saw Weber's Electric PeeWees hand in their second win in two games, against Minto. With a strong team effort, our Webers' PeeWees managed to drive in a 4 to 1 win.
The first period of play saw Walkerton playing hard and ironing out how the Minto team played. When the time came, a beautiful pass from Austin Weber to Andrew Rivers found Rivers looking for his open man; and Darian Beglaw made himself available and slapped in our first goal of the game. Minto was left scoreless at the end of the first.
The second period was fast paced, with both teams scrambling for the the next goal. Austin Hillyer snagged the puck, and looked for his openning, Connor Johnson came open and sent a pass to defenseman MacKenzie McTeer. Mack from the blueline sent the puck sailing through the crowd and past the Minto Goaltender, giving Webers' and 2 to nothing score.
The third period was an equal battle between Minto and Walkerton. As the period widdled down Minto saw their lone goal. But Webers' needed one more cushion to their lead, with passing from Patrick McArthur to McKeeman to an open centerman Beglaw. Darian shot the last goal past the Minto netminder. Giving Weber's a 4 to 1 win.
