John Ernewein Juveniles Take 2 - 0 Series Lead
Without two key forwards in the line-up and a third one nursing an injury the guys again dug deep.
The guys again came out with a total team effort outshooting there opponent 32 - 20 and outchancing them as well. Walkerton built a 2 - 0 lead on two power play markers in the 1st. Port Perry scored one with 5 seconds left in the second to narrow the margin to one. Walkerton started the third the same way they started the game and got the all important next goal to stretch their lead to 3 - 1. Port Perry got their own power play marker with 3:33 left in the third. Walkerton's strong defensive play shut down Port Perry and they were never able to generate any further scoring chances or even get their goalie pulled. The juvies will look to tomorrow (Sunday) @ 3:30 to finish off Port Perry and advance the the OMHA semi-finals. Go Capitals Go!!
