Great Start to Season for Godfathers Peewee Girls

Godfather PeeWee Girls Slice up Mount Forest
On Oct. 18 the Godfather PeeWee Girls rep team dominated the Mount Forest girls. Every girl on the team scored at least one goal, while they limited their opponents to just one tally.
Godfather PeeWee Rep Girls perform well at Mitchell Tournament
The Godfather PeeWee rep girls competed in their first tournament Oct. 23-25 in Mitchell. Even with limited practice time the girls did themselves proud . They played three games on Friday the 23rd. In their first game the girls defeated Owen Sound 8-2. Goal scorers were: Jasmine Thompson (2), Julie Thomson (2), Ashley Ernst (2), Leah Kittel and Emily Cormack. Getting assists were: Natalie Hawkins, Cormack, Thomson (2), Joelle Busby, Kittel and Thompson. In their second game the girls dominated Whitby but only managed a 1-1 tie. Joelle Busby scored the one Walkerton goal. In their final game of the day the girls showed great determination and grit in defeating Kitchener 4-3. Goal scorers were Julie Thomson, Leah Kittel Monica Fritz and Jasmine Thompson. In their final game of the tournament, played Saturday night, the girls lost a close game, 2-1 to the home team Mitchell Meteors. Ashley Ernest scored the Walkerton goal with assists going to Jasmine Thompson and Melynda McKenzie.
Godfather PeeWee Girls Defeat Owen Sound
The Godfather PeeWee Girls team travelled to the home of the Attack on Sun. Nov. 1 and defeated the Owen Sound girls 6-0. Joelle Busby scored a hat trick, while Julie Thomson scored two and Jasmine Thompson scored one. Assists went to Madison Wright and Thomson. Madison Elliott got the shut out.
The girls next game is Nov. 14 @3:30 when Owen Sound will travel to Walkerton.
