Joys Bantam Rep End Regular Season
An exciting win at home on Jan. 04 brought an end to regular season.

Joys Bantam Rep Boys downed the Listowel Cyclones 6-5 and earned a solid second place finish in their division.
The game started out fast and furious, with the teams clashing on the boards and duelling in front of the nets for control of the puck and the early lead. The scoreboard remained blank until midway through the period when Listowel opened the scoring with their first goal of the evening. Despite a strong effort by the Walkerton defence, the visitors scored again while shutting down all attempts by the Capitals to erase the deficit.
Early into the second period, the Cyclones found the Walkerton net once again and moved to a commanding 3-0 lead. Moments later , Lance Rock followed through on a pass from linemate Max Barclay to finally put the home team on the board. Gaining momentum, Walkerton scored again one minute later when Josh Busby fed the puck from behind the Listowel net to John Ringel for a wrist shot to the open corner. The opposing team answered with their fourth goal but the Joys Boys narrowed the lead again on a slap shot from Barclay and a second assist for Busby. Pressing forward, the Walkerton team tied the game
when defenceman Callum Schaus picked up a pass from Barclay and scored on a hard shot to the top corner of the Listowel net. Seconds later, Adam Lindblad penetrated the Cyclones defence and scored the go-ahead goal with an assist going to AP Chase Louther.
Entering the third , the slim lead disappeared when Listowel capitalized on a power play to
once again create a tie game. With the pressure on, the Walkerton team stepped up the play in an attempt to break the deadlock. Brendan King took a long shot from the blue line and the ensuing rebound was tipped in by Max Barclay on a daring dive to the front of the net, providing the game -winning goal and a strong finish to the regular season.
