CMR Bantam Boys "PULL UP SOCKS"
Some games are won because your better. Sometimes you show up physically but not mentally and still win a game. There are also times when you know you have to show up both mentally and physically as well as pull up your socks and this was one of those times.
Jan 9th 2010 Mount Forest rolled into town expecting a win as they did the previous weekend. The CMR boys knew they had to pull up their socks and play some great hockey. Period one was a bit of a struggle, the boys came out strong but Mount Forest held them allowing Chase Louther to score the lone goal for Walkerton with 1:08 left in the first. Walkerton came out real strong in the second with 6 goals, Cam Wagner with the hat trick, Chase Louther, Matt Engel and Josh Hamilton all getting singles. Mount Forest could only return with one goal in the second. Strong play from both teams held both teams scoreless until late in the third when Chase Louther scored with 2:05 left. Louther's goal gave him the teams second hat trick of the game. Mount Forest scored the final goal with 56 seconds left giving Walkerton an 8-2 victory. Jonah Hudson played a great game shutting down Mount Forest when they needed it most. The team played an incredible game and all the players should be proud of their effort.
