Another Shutout for Schmidt, and another Hat Trick for Cobean
The Prestige LL Atoms travelled to Ayton to play Normanby. Benjamin Schmidt earned his 3rd Shutout of the season and Drew Cobean netted his 3rd Hat Trick in a 6-0 victory.
The Prestige Contracting boys were hungry for a win coming off a weekend tie with Mount Forest. Less than 2 minutes into the game, on a pass from Nicholas Fairminer and Jordan Bester, Drew Cobean scored his first of 3 goals. Cobean scored his second of the night to close off the 1st period with a 2-0 lead. Connor Johnson and Cobean's fellow defenceman Thomas Crummer got the play started. Johnson was responsible for the only scoring in the second period with an unassisted goal.
Walkerton added 3 more goals in the third with Cobean, assisted by Fairminer, Jordan Bester assisted by Cobean and Noah Currie from Fairminer and Scott Eddyvean.
The team takes a well deserved rest this weekend but returns to home action Saturday, December 12th at 9:30 when the Ripley Wolves come to town.
