Short staffed but successfull !
A stormy night in Chesley on Jan 16 saw a very shorthanded BDO team play to a 1-1 tie with Arran-Elderslie LL Midgets. BDO has 10 skaters vs. 17 and the second period saw the boys wearing down. Chris Flett played solid and kept the game close when the boys wore down reducing his impressive goals against average to 1.40 in 10 games, with only 1 loss !! After a good rest at intermission the boys came out and controlled the third period holding Chesley to only a few shots. Scoring was a beauty from Kurtis Flett set up by and end to end to rush from Will Huemiller. Only 3 penalties per side made for a clean fast game. BDO now has a break in the schedule, but sit atop the north division of the WOAA. Next up is the Minto tournament Jan 23-25.
