Mark Ferguson steals two points
The battle of BDO goalies continues as BDO narrowly defeated Normanby 4-3 !! Mark played, what some were saying, outstanding/incredible/fantastic as he made save after save after save, including several breakaways and close in shots. His glove was quicker than a western guy slinger !! BDO played nearly the entire game in Ayton short handed thanks to a long parade of "penalties". The second period alone saw 3 "two man short" situations. Scoring the goals and playing strong two way games were Michael Lindblad and Nathan O'Hagan with two each. Nathan scored the game winner on a short handed breakaway, after blocking a shot and springing loose with blazing speed. The game was briefly marred by a scrap which saw Jordon Wendorf emerge on top, but received a 4 game suspension for his efforts. Jordan was just starting to play a solid two way game at center and will now have to sit for a considerable time.
This result leaves the BDO Midgets near the top of the group with 4 wins, 3 ties and only one blemish with a last second loss 3-2 to the front leading Saugeen Shores.
