Vet Clinic gets their first win!
Walkerton-Hanover Vet Clinic team start the season with 2 ties and a win....

On Sunday Oct. 26th we hosted Wiarton in their first game of the season.  Both teams came out strong with Wiarton managing to get their first goal mid way through the first period.  It was a back-and-forth battle but Walkerton’s Brayden Berberrich was able to tie the game with 5 minutes on the clock in the 2nd period.  Assisting Berberich’s goal was Alan Rogers.  Three minutes later Walkerton took the lead with a goal by Pat Koller, assisted by Sam Robson.  Wiarton came back and tied the game with only seconds left in the period.
The third period saw lots of great scoring opportunities by both teams but without any luck.  Jamie Al played a strong game net for our team.   The game ended in the 2-2 tie.

We travelled to Paisley on Monday October 27 to meet the Arran-Elderslie team.   Walkerton took the lead about half way through the first period with a beautiful goal scored by Paul Gill and assisted by Mark Zettler.  The second period saw a goal netted by Brayden Berbrick with the assist going to Allan Rogers .  Aran-Elderslie managed to respond with two goals of their own in the second period leaving both teams fighting unsuccessfully in the third period for the win.  The next match with Aran-Elderslie is sure be worth watching.

Hanover visited Walkerton on Sunday November 2nd and what a game it was.  The teams were evenly matched which meant a very exciting game for both teams.  There was lots of action at the nets with the goalies pulling off some incredible saves.  With less than two minutes left in the game Walkerton finally scored a much deserved goal.  Thanks to Logan Kritz and his helpers, Allan Rogers and Luke Adams for putting Walkerton on the scoreboard and getting their team the first win of the season. Congratulations to Jamie Al on his shutout and thanks to this year’s coaching staff of Steve Dales, Shawn Eckert and Joe Koller.
