RKS Hosts Wallace by Reshay Sullivan
Last Monday, the Walkerton RKS bantam house league girls played Wallace
at home. The girls played hard in the first period, but unfortunately , Wallace managed to get one past the RKS goaltender. In the second, the
girls skated fast, passed the puck and shot at the net, and unluckily the RKS team couldn’t get one past the Wallace goaltender. The score was
now 5-0. In the last period, the defence men (Melissa Girdler, Rachel Anstett,
Kelsey Miller and Jessica Dredge) did an outstanding job defending their goal
tender (Reshay Sullivan). While the defence men were working hard, the center
men (Marisa Dales and Ashley Mitchell) and the wingers (Kaitlin Dosmen, Karleigh
Shaidle, Adrianna Droefke, Jenna Van Loon, Kelsey Ruetz, and Heather Kelly) were
busy creating scoring opportunities. The RKS girls gave it their last bit
of strength , and Karleigh Shaidle got a goal, assisted by Jenna Van Loon and
Kelsey Miller. The end score was 6-1. Good try girls, hopefully you will do
better next time.
