Larsen’s Hang Tough, but Come Just a Little Short.
It was a hard fought game until the very final half second. Walkerton’s Larsen’s LL Pee Wee boys showed a great deal of determination and never say die determination.
Ryan Y, Josh K, Brayden D and Liam R all came close to scoring, but couldn’t get past the goalposts or only found the edge of the goal line. Aaron H kept the score close by a couple of ‘how the heck did he stop that’ saves in the early going.
Ben T scored a couple of goals, threading the needle with a couple of beautiful shots. Assisting twice on those goals was Mark F, with Stephen P assisting on the second. After stealing the puck and leaving a few Minto players wondering where they left their shorts, Brendan C finished off by finding a small spot in the top corner for puck. Walkerton’s Larsen’s battled to the end, pulling the goalie for an extra attacker. In the end though Larsen’s had to settle for the loss, falling short 5-3 against a tough Minto team.
