Home & Home with Hanover
The Legion Peewee boys are lucky enough to finish their season with a home and home with Hanover.  It is always a pleasure to watch these two teams play as they are so evenly matched.  The game Saturday March 7th was no exception. Walkerton was experiencing a NSF day, (Non Sufficient Fellas) but managed to make a great showing just the same.

Walkerton opened the scoring early in the first when Josh Hamilton netted one for his team with Chase Louther and Cole Stark assisting.  There was a multitude of amazing plays, passes and possibilities for both teams during the remainder of the first. Our peewee boys have improved immensely during this hockey season, showing off their physical and mental skills on the ice.
Hanover scored late in the first to even the match. In the second Walkerton got the go ahead goal with some hard work from Tyler Goetz and Chase Louther for Josh Hamilton again to finish off.  Following a tripping penalty in front of the Walkerton net, Hanover was awarded a penalty shot raising the anxiety of the fans.  Jonah Hudson stoned the shot with his usual cool confidence.     Hanover managed a goal minutes later making it a 2-2 game.
After the break both teams hit the ice refreshed and eager for the win.  Luke Zettel and Mitch Eckert gave their all and protected their end with ferocity. Despite the efforts of the entire team, Hanover put one more in to make it 3-2.  Tyson MacLennan, Max Barclay and Connor Charette pulled out all the stops to create chance after chance but could not beat the Hanover goalie. Brandon Dales was solid digging for the puck and displaying his great passing skills.  Jonah Hudson played a stellar game, amazing the crowd time after time.  Despite all the talent on this team, Hanover met the final buzzer with a 3-2 win.
Well Done Boys.
