Easthill Autohaus Breaks Scoring Drought
After six scoreless periods of play the Easthill Autohaus Novice LL took to the ice with great determination, strong skating and hard work against Durham.
A hard fought first period yielded no results but plenty of opportunities at both ends. Strong defense was displayed by Colton Dietrich, Coleman Meyer, Ben Schmidt and Will Schmidt. Chase Hauck made numerous saves to keep it anybody's game.
At the seven minute mark of the second period, Tristan Zettel broke free in the neutral zone. The opposing goalie was out of his crease and with plenty of patience Tristan waited the goalie out and then snapped it into the net, for his seventh of the season. Durham came back at Easthill with a relentless attack that produced three goals before the period's end.
By halfway through the third period Durham had notched another pair, making the score 5-1. Easthill rallied back and added another on a quick shot released by rookie Andrew Young assisted by Steven Ottewell. This was Andrew's first career goal! The game ended in a 6-2 loss.
