Teeswater Tries to Close the Gap, Cornerstone Still Pulls out the Win
Cornerstone was left scoreless in the first and third period but had a scoring free for all in the second.  However, Teeswater had their own make up in the third, causing concern for Cornerstone in the final moments.

After being beat in our first meeting earlier in the season, Teeswater came onto the ice hoping to pull out a win against Walkerton Cornerstone.  Cornerstone had several attempts on goal but it was Teeswater who came out and answered the goal call.  Leaving Walkerton behind by one, in the first period.
The second period Cornerstone came alive.  With a beautiful pass by defenceman Connor McTeer to forward Jordan Lang, Jordan snuck his first of three goals during this period.  Two minutes later, a straightaway spoted by Jordan Lang, Lang skated up alone and knocked in the second goal of this game.  Our defense played a key roll in this game against Teeswater, later in the second period, with the puck controlled by Denver Turnbull, found an open Jacob Weiler who skated up and popped in the third of Cornerstones goals.  By the end of the second period Jordan Lang found one last opportunity to toss one in the net past the Teeswater goaltender.
The third period found Cornerstone tired on their heels.  Teeswater came back with a vengeance and controlled the period.  They maneuvered by the Cornerstone defense and popped in two more goals, closing in the on the lead Cornerstone had.  Too little too late however, time ran out and the lead was kept by Cornerstone by one.
