Cornerstone Pulls Out an Exciting Win
Walkerton Cornerstone was out for an exciting win today, and did not disappoint.  From the first period to the third period, goals were scored by many.

Cornerstone was in fine form this morning on the ice pad.  Four minutes into the first period Jacob Weiler passed to a ready Jordan Lang, and off to Denver Turnbull, with the pass Denver drove the puck past the Ripley goal tender.  The first goal of many today for Cornerstone.  On this day, in this game, Cornerstone came together as a team.  Everyone of the Cornerstone players played a part in winning.  With only a few seconds left in the first period another passing frenzy happened, Joel Jones quickly passed off the puck to Denver Turnbull, seeing an open Mason Stroeder in front of the net, Turnbull passed the puck to Mason who sent the puck home once again.  The second period saw movement on the Riply team who answered with their only goal of the game; but not before a pass from Nathaniel Illerbraun to Jordan Lang, who once again answered the call for one more goal.
The third period was an exciting finish to the game, with goals from Tyler Priestap, Jordan Lang and Connor McTeer.  All of these goals were made possible by some great passing from many on the Cornerstone team.  Ty Arnold, the only veteran on the Cornerstone team, along with the Cornerstone defence, held their lines tight; keeping Ripley at bay.
