What a Game!!!!!!!
What a game!!!!!What a game!!!!! What a Game!!!!! What else can I say. The Leslie Novices were "On Fire" (as Coach Dave would say) when they visited Wallace on Saturday January 31.
Matt M. played an amazing game in goal holding Wallace to a single goal in the first period. He was assisted by the superior defensive play shown by Thomas C., Christian K., Ryan L. and Bailey M.This foursome did not give up for even a second in the entire game. They chased down the opposition any way they could, then finished by showing they can stick check with the best of them.
The second period opened with an unassisted goal by Jordan B that brought the score to 1-1. Wallace answered this goal a few minutes later, once again taking the lead. The remainder off the second period was a well played back and forth competition with many scoring chances by both teams. Once again the goalies showing their skill. Our own Matt M. stuck to his stand up, play the puck style ,coming up with some great saves. Wallace ended the second period with a goal bringing the score to 3-1 for Wallace.
It wasn't long into the third period when the SuperCrew's forward lines showed that they hadn't given up just yet. Jordan B. scored his second goal of the game, assisted by Noah C. This brought the Crew within 1. Jordan B., Lily H, Noah C., Gordan M.,Brina H., and Sam S. kept on digging and rushing once again showing their never die attitude. That perseverance payed off around the 6 minute mark of the third when they tie the game once again. This was the hat trick goal for Jordan B. assisted by Christian K. and Sam S. Both teams came on strong looking for an opportunity to take the lead. Wallace was the first to get a goal with 2 minutes left to go, but the Crew was not done yet, a little battered and bruised they managed to get one more with 36 seconds left in the game to bring the game to a 4-4 tie. Jordan B.'s fourth goal of the game assisted by Noah C. and Christian K.
Way to go SuperCrew!!!! You are awesome!!!!!!
