Lang’s Girls Open with Provincial Tie
The Langs midget girls “C” team began the route to the provincials with a tie Sunday, Feb.3 in Port Elgin.
Christie Pitt scored two goals to lead the team in the initial game of the play downs. Leticia Barber chipped in with an assist. Saugeen Shores were determined though and bounced back with two goals to make the final score 2-2. The Langs girls have a very demanding schedule in the next few weeks as they play several local teams. Langs will also battle Kincardine, Tiverton and Ripley for the provincial spot. Next game is this Wed. Feb.6 in Tiverton at 8:00.
