Easthill Novice Girls travel to Barrie April 6th
Our Easthill girls travelled to Barrie to play against the Barrie and Scarbourgh teams last weekend, in hopes to be practiced for the upcoming Provincials Tournament.
Our girls faced off with Barrie at a noon hour game, just hoping to get some practice against a Novice team for thier upcoming tournament. Barrie came out strong, scoring twice in the first minute, leaving our Easthill girls scrambling. It didn't take long for them to come around though, and they started scoring. We ended the game at 8-3, with goals from #8, Jordenne V, #11, Krista K, and #2, Courtney W. Though they lost the game, they were ready for thier next game!
Easthill was up against the Scarbourgh team next, one of the top teams in the Novice division. Walkerton came out strong, with goals from #8, Jordenne V, #11, Krista K, and first time goal for #4, Sophie B. Goaltender Georgina M, #30 played an amazing game, and was heartbroken when Scarbourgh managed to sneak one past her with 14 seconds left on the clock, to pull ahead for a 4-3 victory.
The girls had a good day, and got what they had travelled to Barrie to do--practice for the provincials, April 11-13.
