Monday January 21st Game #3
Goderich @ Walkerton Loss 3 - 0
After losing in OT in the previous game a lot of teams would have given up and threw in the towel for Game #3. Our McIntee Capitals did not. They played their hearts out trying to get that elusive win against a tough Goderich squad. During the first period it appeared that we were on our way as it appeared to the fans that the puck crossed the goal line, however the official wasn’t in a position to see it so a smart Goderich Goalkeeper slid it back out before he could see it. Therefore the period ended in a scoreless draw. During the second we continued to pour it on but couldn’t get another puck past their goalie. Ryan Bester was doing his part as well keeping the puck out of our net but alas he couldn’t keep everything out as the pressure was too great and they put one by him to take a 1 – 0 lead into the second. In the third they managed to get two more goals to claim victory and take the series 3 games to 0. Along with Ryan Bester having great games this day were Luke Zettel, Brandon Dales, Justin Donnelly, Tyson MacLennan and Bailey Zettler. Our Boys wish Goderich success as they proceed down the path towards the All Ontario Title. As for us we will regroup and get ready for our upcoming group play downs for the W.O.A.A. title.
