Prestige Contracting PeeWee Boys Defeat Wingham Ironmen
On February 7 the Prestige Contracting PeeWee Boys took on the Wingham Ironmen at home in Walkerton for their first playoff game.  It was a slow start with much of the play in the home end.  The fans were getting a bit nervous when Keaton Holm started off the scoring with an unassisted goal with 5:41 remaining.  That was all the boys needed to get them going!  Within the next two minutes Prestige got two more goals.  Holm got another assisted by Curtis Shaidle and Conner McTeer beat the goalie high.  Wingham managed to sneak one past Matt Markauskas to make it 3-1 at the end of the first.

Wingham started the scoring in the second but that did not get Prestige down.  Jayden Dietz got shot off and in from the point, assisted by Andrew Young and Eddie McKee.  Willie Schmidt picked up Ryan Lair's rebound assisted by McKee to put Prestige in a comfortable spot going to the flood.  5-2 at the end of the second.

Wingham kept the pressure on in the third but were only able to get one past Markauskas who was on fire, grabbing pucks mid-air and stopping lots of shots!  Great back checking by forwards Jacob Weiler and Nate Illerbrunn.  Young scored unassisted with under four minutes remaining.  Daylan Hopcraft, Steven Ottewell, McTeer and Dietz defended their goalie to end it 6-3 for Prestige Contracting PeeWee Boys.
