On the road again this time a pleasant drive to Lions Head, up past Wiarton Willie to Gods country. The score does not translate how the game went. Apparently while stopping in Wiarton to visit Willie the rodent told them that the game will be over in two periods because he didn't see the hockey puck when he came out of his hole. Never trust a home boy field pig. After two periods the score was 9-8 and our boys followed the vermin's advice and packed it in. Wiarton scored 5 goals in the 3rd to seal the victory.

I interviewed two of the Cuneo Atom's defensemen after the game on Sunday Feb. 12, Ben Fleischauer and Keegan Quish. This is what the boys had to say about the game.

Well Boy's you faced the Hanover Falcon's #2 today in the first game in a home and home series in our Round Robin in our Play-offs, how did it go? Not bad in our oppinion. We fought back to tie it up a couple of times but they ended up winning the game 6-4.

Your opponent's have had a great season, they have been undefeated in WOAA play, how did you manage to keep it to such a close game? We covered their players and we made moves on them. We stayed strong and made some good plays when we had too, but we just got beat.

Can you tell me who scored and assisted the goals? Colton assisted by Keegan, Bryce scored assisted by Ben then Darren scored a high bouncer from the point assisted by Jackson and Curtis had a nice one with a helper by Tyson.

Bantam Rep - Feb 8th Game #3 vs. Listowel Loss 8 - 2

OMHA Round #2 Game #3. Today a very strong Listowel team returned to play our Capitals in their run to clinch the series in 3 straight. Our boys were up for the challenge and kept it close until the 3rd period when we ran out of steam. Listowel ended up winning the game with a final score of 8 - 2 and will move on in their quest for an All Ontario Championship. Tyson MacLennan netted both our goals today, drawing assists were Bailey Zettler and Tyler Goetz. For our boys our next challenge will be to face Mount Forrest, Bruce Peninsula and Mildmay for a WOAA title.
