PeeWee Girls Rep - A Sweet Valentine - Pee Wee Rep Girls Advance!
Submitted By Nicole Priestap on Wednesday, February 15, 2012
The Pee Wee Rep Lower Lakes Girls pulled off a big win for Valentines Day as they travelled to Kincardine and pulled off a 3-2 win, assuring them a place in round 2 of the OWHA Provincial Playdowns.

In this round robin series they first played Normanby on February 8 and the game ended with a disappointing loss of 4-2.  The second game was against Durham on February 11 where they played a great game and pulled off a win of 5-0.  This final game against Kincardine would determine if they would go on and the girls played a wonderful game.  They ended the first period with a one goal lead but Kincardine battled back, taking the lead by one goal.  Walkerton played exceptional and were able to tie it up and then go ahead to win with only one minute left in the game.  The final score was 3-2.  A single rose was waiting for each of them in the dressing room from Coach Troy.  It was a classy touch to this exciting Valentine win!

The Pee Wee Rep Girls also won their first round in the Lower Lakes  Playdown.  They played Milverton in a best of three series.  With two fabulous wins on February 7th and 12th, they will now go on to face Zorra for Round Two.  Their first game is this Friday in Embro at 8:30pm.

Way to go Ladies!!  Keep up the fabulous  teamwork.  You can do it!
